Passport

012

I’m renewing my passport.

It expired almost a year ago, and I haven’t been too bothered about it.

Suddenly there’s a rush to get it renewed because I’m planning a trip to L.A. this summer.

I don’t particularly want to go to L.A. this summer, but my Boy announced he’s going with a couple of friends.

He doesn’t know I’m coming.

Surprisingly, nobody I’ve told thinks it’s a good idea.

I don’t see why not.  It’s not like I’ll be staying with him, or even hanging out with him and his friends (unless, of course, they invite me along.)

I’ll just lounge by the hotel pool, and maybe cruise the shops along Rodeo Drive. Most importantly, I’ll only be a phone call away in case my (adult) Boy needs me.

There’s nothing wrong with that, right?  It’s just what every normal, caring parent would do.
